Under attack

My laptop is under attack.

Somehow a virus snuck through the Firewall and has hijacked my computer.

Joe tried to find the little bugger and exterminate it, but when I rebooted this morning, I had a bunch of new shortcuts on my home screen. Shortcuts to porn sites, with naked pictures on the button.

Great. In a house with three little kids, that's exactly what I want on my computer screen.

I'm not sure if that virus was one of the Facebook ones that people were talking about. Just in case, I am on hiatus from FB. And I am praying that Joe can restore the innocence of my laptop. And that all of my photos saved on my Memory Book harddrive are safe.

Has anyone else faced this problem lately?

I usually always ignore those requests from people on Facebook.

However, today I just accepted an online sister request from a friend because I didn't want her to think I didn't love her...

Now I'm afraid I may have allowed big breasted women to invade my PC. I'll keep you posted.

I saw where you said that on FB. I haven't had any problems. I don't open anything weird or play any games and ignore all that bull crap.

I hope Joe can get the bugs out soon!!

Fingers crossed that the photos and everything are safe! Our network drive AND backup crashed a couple of months ago and there were a tense few days where we weren't sure any of our photos would still be there. Thousands and thousand of pictures. Fortunately, Neil got them back, but now we have burned them all on to discs. Just in case.

FB has gotten notorious for letting ads and programs run on their site that have viruses. I periodically get virus warnings on my computer after being in FB, so I zap them, and do a full scan. I purposefully avoid doing any of the drink passing, or that stuff, because the viruses seem to be more prevalent on those.
