We need to talk.
You see, Thomas is in town. And I have a four year old boy who was promised a (very expensive) train ride today for having a successful day at preschool on Wednesday. A boy who will be devastated if we don't get to see Sir Toppham Hat and Percy and Thomas himself. We really need to get on that train.
I know you have sent some "heavy rain and thunderstorms" our way, destined to hit at approximately the same time the conductor is shouting "All aboard". What I'm asking is for here is a small favor. Could you just hold things off a bit, maybe until after noon or so? Really, a boy's happiness is on the line. Would you be able to live with yourself, knowing you ruined his day (and mine, too)? Please...?
(And while I'm asking here, could you also please soften the blow that Hurricane Ike is preparing to wreak on the state of Texas? I have friends there, you know, and I would appreciate it if you could look out for them.)
Thanks for your time,
Heather

Good luck today! Thanks for the Texas plug!
Say hi to Thomas for me!!
My Comment to you from my blog - Heather- I wish that I could say that I finally had my nursing degree but it is still a work in progress. I work in the medical records department: compiling charts, analyzing them for completeness and then I also do Birth Certificates. That is the fun part to see all the new babies and what goofy names the parents have picked. We have a running list of the weirdest and year to date Rainbow Brite is the worst!!!
Also to hear that music sent chills down my spine. I remember the Thomas day and the ride and all the stuff that we just had to have. I guilted my parents into going with us and it was better. I hope that you had fun - it looks like Gabe had a GREAT time!!! What a good mom you are.
Oh, I hope the weather listens to you and stays away! Let me know...
I hope you got it in!!!
I hope you get a break in the rain, if not you can have fun in it anyway! Have fun Gabe.
Even though I don't have a son of my own....I'd borrow one of my nephews to get to see the look on their face when they saw Thomas in person! LOVE IT!
