And the winner is...
Here are your random numbers:3
Timestamp: 2008-09-07 02:14:43 UTC (What the heck time zone is that?)
I used that random number thing that lots of other blogger contesters (is that a word?) use to pick the winner of my blogaversary giveaway. And really, it is random. Thanks to all of you for being such loyal and supportive bloggers and commenters. You sure know how to make a girl feel good. And without further ado, the winner (and her comment) is...

Happy Blogaversary! Even though I already made those cards, I would like to have more so I hope I win. I remember a year a ago when you told be you were doing this I thought you were crazy, now look who's crazy. I'm too boring to do my own but I love all the other ones.

My big sis, Michelle. She is going to be so excited. And this was so much fun, I think I'll do it again, but with Christmas cards next time. Stay tuned. And Michelle, you can just pick your cards up next time I see you (hey, postage is expensive!).

A Little Laugh
When to start cussing....
A 6 year old and a 4 year old are upstairs in their bedroom, 'You know what?' says the 6 Year old. I think it's about time we started cussing. The 4 year old nods his head in approval. The 6 year old continues, 'When we go downstairs for breakfast, I'm gonna say something with hell and you say something with a$$.' The 4 year old agrees with enthusiasm.
When the mother walks into the kitchen and asks the 6 year old what he wants for breakfast, he replies, 'Aw, hell, Mom, I guess I'll have some Cheerios.' WHACK! He flies out of his chair, tumbles across the kitchen floor, gets up, and runs upstairs crying his eyes out, with his mother in hot pursuit, slapping his rear with every step. His mom locks him in his room and shouts, 'You can stay there until I let you out!'
She then comes back downstairs, looks at the 4 year old and asks with a stern voice, 'And what do YOU want for breakfast, young man?' 'I don't know,' he blubbers, 'but you can bet your fat a$$ it won't be Cheerios !!'

Happy Blogaversary!
Fast forward to September 2008. Now I blog nearly every day, have made friends with several other bloggers, (finally) got my BFF to join in, and I no longer blog about my business. I still make cards, just not so much to sell.
The reason I'm telling y'all about my cards is this: to celebrate my anniversary with Mr. Blogger, I am having a little giveaway. Leave me some comment love, and on Saturday I will use that random integer thing and pick some lucky soul to win a pack of handmade, Heather-created cards. Isabel was my Vanna tonight, but she didn't want you to see her hair (um, yeah, she's only 8, and already so self-conscious). So here they are...

Mainly birthday cards, suitable for men and women, boys and girls. Who wants to be the lucky winner?
Seriously, though, thanks to all of you fellow bloggers and blog stalkers (I'm talking to you, Michelle) who faithfully leave comments and let me know that you are reading about my (riveting) life. Who knew I'd be checking my email twenty times a day to see if anyone else had left a comment since the last time I checked...just kidding, kind of.
Anyway, enough said. Leave a comment, maybe win some handmade love from me.

Blog Support
I know what she means. I have been blogging for almost a year now (ahem, my 1 year blogaversary is tomorrow), and I can't believe how many friends I have made, through my computer! Just ask my husband (or my sister); I have never been a computer-savvy girl. But yesterday when I was helping Becky with her setup, I actually knew what to do! Please go check out her blog, titled "In the Trenches". Her babies are adorable, her husband is a trip, and she is just incredible (and my BFF). She has no idea how it feels to get a bunch of comment love (I'm going to get her signed up with SITS next).

Another form of blog support: SITS, my hero. (Check out the new button to the right). I hadn't even heard of them before this June, and now they are a part of my daily life. I have found so many blogs that I wouldn't have discovered without them, and they have great giveaways all the time! Clearly, Heather and Tiffany are superstars who just felt the need to give us mere mortals a chance at stardom (see the daily featured blogger) and a chance at great prizes. Okay, girls, I really want that Cricut, can you tell? Y'all need to go visit their site and leave a comment, or get your own button (Becky, I'll show you how).
And as far as prizes go, I am going to have my first very own giveaway tomorrow, in honor of my blogaversary. Please come back!

Preschool Blues
He could hardly stand to sit still for this picture, he was so ready to go.
No crying, clinging to mommy, being shy or afraid; nope, not Gabe. He went running into the first classroom he saw (not his). Had to take him down the hall to the right one (same teacher Isabel had 4 years ago). He ran past the other kids to this play area, and dug right in, not caring at all that I was leaving. I thought I might tear up a little, being that this is my baby and all, but since he was clearly fine, so was I.
Joe met me at the school to pick Gabe up at the end of the day (a mere 2 1/2 hours later). They were out at the playground in the 100 degree heat; sweaty, tired, hungry, and a bit overwhelmed. When I met him halfway, Gabe started to cry a little. Because he missed me and Daddy? Because he "couldn't like" school? Oh, no...
Because he didn't want to go home! He wanted to stay at preschool forever! Now, really, I'm glad he liked it so much, but I'm starting to take offense here.

Gabe's Premiere Video
(Make sure you pause my musicplayer below before you press play).
If you have a minute, here is Gabe's first movie on mommy's blog. I just couldn't resist.
(Becky, thought we could use a little incentive to kick-off our new exercise routine this week.)
Gabe was "working out" on my elliptical machine (that I never use), and he insisted I make a movie of him. What a ham...he cracks me up!
Tomorrow is the big day. Start our cereal diet, start our 3-day a week workout regimen, Gabe starts preschool. Exciting stuff. I better get to bed early tonight!
