Bring on the heat

There are literally thousands of pictures saved on my computer and scrapbooked into many books in my house.  My family loves to look at all those pictures and pages and reminisce about the memories they bring.

On this cold January day, as the forecasters call for yet another winter storm (ice this time), I wanted needed to remember warmer times.

On this day last July, we went to a Cincinnati Reds game as a family (one of the things on our "Summer To-Do List").  The game started at 1:10pm.

It was 100 degrees.

We sat in the sun, soaking up the rays and sweating them back out, only to soak them up again.

Looking at this picture makes me feel warm again.  I can almost taste the heat.  Almost.  And it makes this cold day tolerable.  Until tomorrow, when I may have to drag out every summer picture I own to erase the effects of the ice storm headed this way...

In three months, winter will be but a memory.

I can't wait.

What do you do with your photos?  How do you survive the winter months?  Which do you prefer-summer or winter?

Stay safe with this storm. I think we're right on the edge & going to miss out on it (THANK YOU LORD)

(Praying for your FIL as well!!!)

Well, I hate 100 degree weather. In my perfect world it would be 72 and sunny with a slight breeze. : )
We are expecting a blizzard - I would LOVE a huge blizzard, but NOT this week. This week I have to travel and I have a million things to do. I don't think anyone cares though.

I'm a freak, but I actually enjoy being cooler. The heat literally makes me ill. (and I live in Florida, go figure).
My photos.....I wish I could say that I have them all neatly tucked into albums according to a chronological time line....but, I can't. I think the only photos I have in an actual album are the ones from my wedding. After that, they are all either dumped into a 64 gallon storage bin or on my computer. I really do have a desire to get them organized, but I'm afraid that I have waited too long. I have pictures since my first child was born (read 15 years ago) and they are all in that giant box and I don't think I can do it.
But I sure admire the women that do.

I love all seasons! I love turtle necks & jeans and tanktops & flip flops! But I could do without ICE!! I hope it's not as bad as they are predicting! We are only to get thunderstorms, but they are saying severe with tornados! Crazy weather! Stay warm'

My pictures - well just a little while ago I went through a whole bunch of them because my mom requested some for some reason, and gosh... I could spend hours looking at my pictures and gosh, I've taken way more pictures of the house in the last year than the girls and that's BAD.

How do I survive the winter? I move south.

Which do I prefer.... that's a toughie.. I like them both. I would always rather be a little cool that a little too warm though.

We have so many unsorted photos on our computer that we should ban ourselves from taking any more until we get them organized. Alas, the kids are growing too fast for that!

I dislike summer more than winter. Heat makes me cranky. And that, I promise, is no good.

Photos stored on computer and backed up in a couple of places. I gave up on scrapbooking about five years ago, but I have grand plans to select and arrange in photo books (the kind from Kodak Gallery or Costco Photo) one of these days.

I prefer summer to winter, for sure, but I'd rather be inside on a cold winter's day than outside on a 100 degree day!
