Weekend Update

Live from Lebanon, it's time for the Weekend Update.

Fun was had by all Friday night at the local winery. Three bottles of wine, six steaks with all the fixins', endless quoting of The Hangover and loud guffaws of laughter abounded. Clearly a good mix of personalities!

(Diane, Monica and me)

In other news, today is the third game for the local basketball team, the Monarchs, featuring awesome playing by Elijah K., coached by Joe and Heather. The season has started out with a bang, and the team is 2-0 so far. Go Monarchs!

(Disclaimer: this picture was taken early in the morning last week, before any coffee or breakfast. Thus the pale faces and puffy eyes. No retouching was available.)

New Construction update: the new miniature house being built for Master Gabe is nearing completion. A roof, some trim, and installation of curtains and the staircase is all that's left. This house's worth is estimated at $1 million (or at least it should be, after all that painting and sanding and gluing). Do we have any buyers?

That's it for the Weekend Update...hope you all stay safe and warm on this gloomy, cloudy, foggy, rainy, cold, yucky January weekend. (Yep, I'm sick of winter, alright.)

It is definitely gloomy, gray, cold and windy here! Sorry it sounds like you guys have the same! We have some friends coming over though for dinner, so I'm looking forward to making some lasagna, garlic bread and a yummy salad. The presence of friends, plus some Peroni and/or red wine should brighten things up considerably around here! LOL!

Love the house! Awesome job! And we keep waiting on our copy of The Hangover from blockbuster. It can't get here fast enough, because I don't think I've ever laughed so hard through a single movie!

Hugs!

Fun Fun Fun.
Okay, gloomy and gray is Chicago weather, but it's just a typical January. The spring (not that we really have spring) and Summer will be here soon enough.
Glad you had fun at dinner.
Go Eli!!!

It's gray here today too - Hopefully a little movie theater time will chase it away.

Good luck to the basketball team!!!

Not sure a night at the winery is a good idea before an early basketball game, just sayin.

What a great weekend! Wine, steaks and a healthy dose of laughter? I am suspect of anyone that doesn't think the Hangover is hysterical. I find myself humming the tiger song. All. The. Time.

The house looks amazing! $1m might be a low estimate!
