Number 400!!

(Drum roll, please...)

Here it is, my 400th post!

I was racking my brain, trying to come up with something witty, something to make you laugh, or heck, something to make you cry (seems I'm pretty good at that, too; I am the queen of sap).

But when I try to write a post like that on purpose, the words just won't come.

Instead, I'm having a contest.

It's my 400th post Heather's favorite summer things contest.

I'm gonna pick two winners. On Friday. No special rules, just leave a comment about your favorite thing about summer, and I'll use the random integer thing to pick two lucky people.

What will you win?

Well, I love The Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. And I love Target, especially Target gift cards. OPI nailpolish in bright colors. Rain gum by Extra. Yankee candles in summer fragrances. Starbucks coffee. Shopping at Kohl's. Making handmade cards with pretty new paper from Hobby Lobby.

Get the idea?

Here's to 400 more!

CONGRATS HEATHER!!!!

My favorite thing about summer is seeing all the pretty flowers in bloom, smelling food as it cooks on the grill, and getting to spend time with family and friends!

Congrats on 400!!!

My favorite thing about summer is putting sticky kids in bed when they just collapse from an exhausting fun-filled family day.

I also like that I don't look as pastey in the summer.

Wow can you believe that 400 came so fast? Congrats to you!!!!

I am posting but know that I will not win, I never do, I have just learned to accept it.

My most favorite thing about summer is laying on the grass watching the clouds drift by with my kids and laughing about the funny things they see in the clouds. It is the distant sound of the ice cream man that even makes my mouth hungry for an ice cream delight. It is sleeping with the windows open, a cool breeze on your skin and the knowledge that tomorrow you get to do it all over again, no time table just living, exploring and remembering what summer is all about.

Congrats on 400!

My favorite thing about summer is sitting on the back porch as the sun goes down and listening to the waa-waa-waa of the crickets or cicadas or whatever they are and watching the lightening bugs dodging around the yard. It's a magical time of day.

I'm gonna be honest and say my favorite thing about summer is that there is no SNOW!!!! And everything that goes along with it.

Woohoo!!! You should've taken the day off from chores and made it a holiday! No one should have to clean toilets on such a special day!

Great Job Heather! I love reading your blogs, it makes me feel close to you since we live so far away, for now anyway. I loved summer when your dad and I would sit outside and just talk. And of course air conditioning! Love, Mom

Congratulations on 400 posts!!! There's a flavor of gum called Rain?

Congrats to your 400th post! I have been reading your blog for a little while now and wanted to wish you well and 400 more! :)
Summer in Paraguay is totally different from your summer. For us it´s the rainy season and that is what I love. After 8 months of winter drought I love it when it finally starts to rain in the summer! :)
It´s ok if you don´t send your giveaway internationally. Just want to congratulate you!

Holy bageezers! Really?! 400?

You got some writins in you huh?

What I love about summer, hmmmm, definitely having my kids home. And playing in the sun with them all day until we pass out on the couch together. To watch a movie. That we all like. Thankfully my daughter likes movies like Twilight and Legally Blond. And my son doesn't care as long as I "tickle back" while we watch.
