The countdown is on.

May 12th is coming.

A certain musical-expert blogger and her friend are coming. (Can't wait to meet you, Lacey!)

I bought a new "rock-concert-worthy" shirt yesterday. And some new heels. Still can't decide on jeans or tight black pants...

I'm excited, if you couldn't tell.

This Kings of Leon concert will be my first one in I can't even tell you how many years. At least eleven, if not more.

Which leads me to wonder...what's the last concert you've been to? How far would you drive to see your favorite band? Who is your favorite band?

Oh, I'm so jealous! You guys are going to have a blast. I'm going to see Def Leppard, Poison & Cheap Trick in August with some friends and I can't wait. (A blast from my youth and hair bands, LOL)

I wouldn't drive more than a few hours to see a band, mostly because I'm not a huge fan of crowds. I prefer enjoying my bands on my iPod. And currently, my faves are Dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz, & Pink.

Judging from the picture of the band I'd say you should go with the tight black pants. Seems to be what they're into.

Last concert I went to was about 14 years ago. To see the Toadies play with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I never was a huge concert person. Even in my youth.

I don't have favorite bands really, just favorite songs. Although I'll always be faithful to Frank Sinatra. I love EVERYTHING of his.

Which reminds me, I once saw Mel Torme in concert. I was about 9 and went with my grandpa, but still, it was a live concert.

About seeing Caleb and Nathan Followill. Pause here to appreciate God's creation.

I love Kings of Leon. I love you. It's a win-win situation all around.

p.s. Last live concert? Hmmmmm...well, it was SUPPOSED to be Cher back in October, but we know what that heiffer did. Still not over it.

In 2007 we saw George Strait/Ronny Milsap/Taylor Swift...then Celine Dion...then Keith Urban. That was a good year.

My favorite bands are Allion Krauss, John Prine and Lyle Lovett, seen at least a dozen times. Do love Elton John and saw him in March.
Farthest I have gone for a band was Dallas from San Antonio....a 5 hour treck.

Hmmm...last concert? Other than Barney? I saw the Smithereens at a local fair and Kansas and E.L.O. and Rick Springfield. LOL. I've begged hubby to take me to Andrea Boccelli, but he refuses - I can go with Dennis (a friend) but that's awkward.
I'm way too much a music lover to have a favorite band though. Best concert ever? Billy Joel. Most memorable concert ever? The Grateful Dead. Other than that? Pat Benetar, AC/DC, Journey, Blue Oyster Cult, Neil Diamond, and the list goes on and on.
If I could afford it I would go see Billy Joel and Elton John in the city this summer. But, no can do. I would travel anywhere to see Bruce Springsteen though. ANYWHERE. But, that's if money were no option. (and he and I could hang out later - LOL)

I'll go anywhere for Steven Curtis Chapman... ADORE that man! My husband is a KISS freak! He's paid $500 for one ticket before.. he's nuts!

Last concert I went to - Matthew West & Sanctus Real... AWESOME!

Kings of Leon are pretty new to me... but I also have Lula to thank for turning me onto them!

(and, um... hello?!... could there not be any sexier song than "Closer"?!)

The last concert I went to was to see Josh Groban in Atlanta... I think it was about 2 years ago. Me, my mom, sister and SIL... spent the whole day in Atlanta. It was great!

I've got lots of faves... one current fave is Carolina Liar.

Oh, and THANK YOU for your sweet words earlier... I am lovin' being in the spotlight today!

And here endeth my comment...

Jimmy Buffett, Baby! Every year! We travel from Chicago up to Wisconsin to see him because we have to make a weekend out of it.

We saw the Goo Goo dolls in 2007....John surprised me with tickets because he knows I LOVE Johnny Resnick!! The girls came with us...they grew up listening to that music.

In 2008 at Riverfest we saw Pat Benetar....she was SO good.

I wouldn't drive more then an hour to see anyone though!!

Elton John/Billy Joel last month. But here in SA.

Before that it was the Cheetah Girls...and the Wiggles...

But, my all-time fave concerts were Harry Connick (swoon) and Sting (seen him 5 times--double swoon).

Have a blast, and let's see a picture of you in your concert-worthy-shirt, tight pants/jeans, and those heels!

The last concert I went to was Janet Jackson w/Usher opening for her. We drove to Columbus for this festive event. I've been to see Janet four times. I know some people wouldn't think that's a lot for their fave, but I don't go to concerts much.

Did you know that ZZ Top and Aerosmith are going to be in concert. I say let's make it happen!!

The last concert was 3 Doors Down at our local casino. It was pretty darn loud in that small space. I'm really loving on Christian Rock right now and am listening to Third Day. I would drive as far as Vegas although I'm not sure Christian Rock bands are a big thing there!? Have a great time!

The last concert I went to was about one year ago exactly, I saw Tragically Hip at HOB with a (now ex) friend and her husband for his birthday.

My favorite band will always be Def Leppard.

The farthest I would travel? Well, I've been up to Wisconsin to see a few concerts at the outdoor theatre they have in Twin Lakes. But by accident I was in Los Angeles when Rockapella was performing, and convinced my sister to go with me. So in a roundabout way I did travel 2000 miles but it wasn't just for the concert.
